Overview
Context
I designed OTT thumbnails for CBS Sports HQ live segments distributed through Gracenote across Amazon, Roku, and CBS-owned platforms—with the goal of creating a cohesive visual experience across the CBS Sports Watch app and site.
Problem
Existing thumbnails lacked consistency and didn't clearly reflect CBS Sports' visual identity, making the library feel fragmented across platforms and programming types.
Process
I developed the thumbnail system and creative direction, then set templates and guidelines that designers executed from at scale. I also directed high-volume talent photoshoots with CBS's internal photography teams in Nashville and Stamford, producing a fresh asset library for ongoing platform and marketing needs.
Impact
The updated system improved visual consistency across Amazon, Roku, and CBS-owned platforms and gave CBS Sports an expandable framework for future live segments and programming.
